The most ironic part of the entire accident was that Richies helmet was rolling down the racetrack with his head still in it without his body attached !!!! It turns out that that the account of the story as it was conveyed to me turned out to be nothing more than an ugly urban legend ! Yeah, it's an ugly hoax that has been repeated many times during the decades since Rich passed away. |
