does anybody even remember Art besides me? I loved seeing his turbine tractors!!! I don't recall the name of his daughters tractors.

yea,i remember him from my days living in california back in the 60's.....used to do exhibition stuff out there at quite a few of the now closed strips i used to hang at. fun to watch....and he paved the way for many of the top jet racers we see today.

Wasn't he the guy who had the "beer can" tractors? I vaguely remember that from when I was a kid.

Wow, Art and Craig Breedlove in the Spirit of America used to trade the LSR back and forth for a long time. Played with the tractors and jet powered drag exhibition cars, too.
All the pioneers are leaving us. These guys today don't know what it's like to be the first to do things, experimenting, putting their lives on the line doing things they love, breaking new ground. Not to say the "kids" today aren't taking risks, they just aren't exploring the unknown.
