Baby Stewys lawyers surely knew that the evidence was so overwhelming that Stewpot was GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY that they begged to settle out of court to save even more anguish, embarrassment and money. Its a shame that it didn't go all of the way because the Ward family probably would have gotten more of the settlement that they were entitled to with their great and foolish loss.
